Background

•Ar-Tech Coating is a QP3 Certified Shop Coating Applicator through the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP)

•QP3 is an internationally recognized program that evaluates the practices of industrial painting contractors in key areas of business related to Shop Coating Application.

•The surface treatment, priming, and painting of approximately 5,000 square feet of steel on the Bridge involved various components such as arches, bracing beams, and cladding supports.

After SSPC-SP10 near white blast

Steel was then primed using Cathacoat 302HB, followed by a mid-coat of Bar-Rust 231

Application

1.The steel had to undergo a thorough cleaning process to achieve a near-white blast finish (SSPC-SP10).

2.Steel was then primed using Cathacoat 302HB, followed by a mid-coat of Bar-Rust 231, and finally, a top coat of Devthane 379.

3.The Customer has stringent quality control standards in place, which necessitated extensive testing of numerous steel pieces. The inspection of these pieces was closely conducted by certified third-party inspectors, ensuring compliance with the city's requirements.
